I’m Maaike — psychologist at heart, wandering between Belgium, Nepal, and India.  In a fast and uncertain world, I help people and organisations slow down, listen inward, and move forward with more presence, warmth and courage. 

My intention

An intention to create space.

I’m here to help you find ground from the inside out — so you can meet life with more honesty and kindness. That’s why I make inner work practical: we learn to understand our emotions and habits, regulate our nervous system, and experience more ease and aliveness.

I believe confidence and humility can grow together — in individuals, in leaders, and in teams — and that this shapes a warmer world. My work brings together modern psychology and Buddhist wisdom, offering grounded practices that can inspire how you think, speak, and show up each day.

When insight becomes change

I trained in behavioral psychology because I’ve always been curious about how humans work — and what opens doors to more freedom. Years of study and work help me see patterns clearly: in habits, emotions, communication, and the nervous system.
What I love most is the moment something lands: when someone dares something new, feels a shift, and thinks, “Oh… I can do this.” When eyes begin to glimmer - and vulnerability is chosen over armoring up.

Meeting life from the inside

Meditation and mindfulness entered my life slowly. I was skeptical at first and then I kept noticing the impact: I felt more space, more ease, more honesty. It was time to give up my narrow-mindedness let it become a daily choice to work with my mind and soften my heart, especially when life is speedy and full of challenges.

Unfolding

Nudge Me took shape as my own journey deepened - and as others trusted me to guide theirs. I kept saying yes to invitations that stretched me and learned by doing — sometimes by getting it wrong, taking feedback, adjusting, and trying again with even more care. Along the way, I met myself more deeply: my edges, my blind spots,, my courage, my softness. What stayed constant was my commitment to show up fully, to learn and lead with care — grounded in science, carried by warmth, and guided by a belief in the goodness of people.

Simplicity taught me what matters

Spending time in the Himalayas changed my inner orientation. Nature, silence, and meeting remarkable Tibetan teachers revealed a different way of living this precious human life — and a deeper trust in what becomes possible when I slow down and allow life to just happen.

Now

Today I work with individuals, teams, and leaders in person and online. My approach is practical and playful: a mix of insight, simple practices to try, and real-life integration — where the deeper learning unfolds while you walk the path. That’s when change becomes yours. I also offer retreats and experiences that can move you in ways you might not expect — and I support projects in Nepal & India to offer kids more warmth and education (give for growth).
